First Holy Communion is a ceremony in some Christian traditions which a person first receives the Eucharist. First Communion typically occurs between the ages of seven and thirteen, or as an adult coming into the catholic faith for the first time, often acting as a rite of passage. Anyone wishing to receive the Sacrament of First Holy Communion must attend the appropriate classes. Contact instructors Tamera Whavers or Joan Thomas for more information.
Classes for students making their first communion, in the traditional sense, are held on the 1st-3rd Sunday of each month, along with the regular CCD schedule following the 9:00am Mass. Students must attend all scheduled classes in order to receive the Sacrament of First Holy Communion.
