Pastor's Corner

The story of a Good Shepherd is the story of How Jesus loves his sheep the Lord entrusted to him.  The story of building the relationship between the shepherd and the sheep.  The story of having sense of ownership as well.  Being a good shepherd is being connected to and with your sheep, care and love them all the way.  That is the difference between the presence of a shepherd and a hired man.

Jesus said:

"I am the good shepherd.

A good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

A hired man, who is not a shepherd

and whose sheep are not his own,

sees a wolf coming and leaves the sheep and runs away,

and the wolf catches and scatters them.

This is because he works for pay and has no concern for the sheep."

Let us ask ourselves in the sense of A Good Shepherd Sunday:

@How can I be a good shepherd?

@Where can I be a good shepherd?

@ Is there anything I could do to help others?

May the Good Shepherd enable us to be a good Shepherd as well in the mission He entrusted to us.
